It was really amazing!<3 The people who say it was bad are just the stupid ignorent people who haven't seen it yet, but like to think they are better than it. If you don't like it then thats fine, everyone is entitles to their own opinion. But don't come here and slam everyone.

Justin I was ther with my nephew that I take care of who is a junior in high school. So I saw kids who were in elementery. One day of school complain to some one who cares. Anyways Im 20 and I am addicted to these books! I waited out in the cold my ticket number 722. And I loved the movie and will do it all over again for Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.

Joe T - The man turns into a vampire and a lion....get real. Does that mean the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe or To Kill a Mockingbird are trash too? Your kid is underprivledged.
- Christie, Manchester
OK. I STAND CORRECTED. I did not know there was no school in Londonderry today. So I take back the first half of my comment.
Oh, but for "Unknown": if you are going to slam people at least have the intestinal foritude to put your name on your comment, OK?!
- Justin, Manchester
What a terribly sexist movie and book series! From the stereotyped main character with no personality, to the string of abusive men she dates and clings to so helplessly, I would NEVER let my daughter read this trash, or waste money on the movie. I believe it sends the wrong message to teenage girls at a time in their life when they need the OPPOSITE message so much. We should be condemning this movie not providing free ad space dressed up as an "article".

Um yeah look at all the judges in here..gotta love rude ignorance.
My home is full of Star Wars memorabilia...I'd fully love to throw it out the window..but my husband loves it. I don't judge him by judging what he likes.
Try some tolerance and try not looking like a total tool everywhere you post coughcoughharryjustinsamcoughcough

Ok...I love nothing more than people who just can't let anyone else be happy for a second. Get over yourselves. Chances are you may like video games, or computer games/software, or hunting, or workign on cars, or being an Obama sheeple...but um yeah...I'm not going to rain on your parade because I don't like or do any of those things!
I'm 28 years old, married, have a job, about to own a home...and I like the Twilight books damn it! This "poor writing" drivel is what got me back into reading again after years of just going to work, coming home, watching TV, and going to bed. So yeah...this "rube" love its!
And I really wish people would stop making quick judgements about parents they don't even know...as if you know their family, their school schedules ect ect. Spend less time judging others and take a look in the mirror.

The ironic thing is that at that age, they want a "romantic guy". Later on, in college, they tend not to want the romantic guy, they want the loudmouthed jock that treats them like trash. The "nice" romantic guy never wins beyond novels and movies.
Will someone ever explain that?

i think the excitement for reading created by this series is great it shows kids that reading can be fun and can be the gateway book for them to go on to a lifetime of reading for pleasure. and unlike other people that automatically hate everything that kids are into, i actuallty have read three of the books so far and think they are extremely well written and i am excited to finish them. also everyone knows the movie is never as good as the book, but these young actors and actresses really put a face and personality to go with the story. so unless youve read the books stop whining about it and be happy that kids are taking an interest in reading.

Just to let you know, both girls mentioned in the article did not have school the next day due to parent teacher conferences in Londonderry, so, Justin, you can shut your mouth. Everyone has their obsessions, I think that their parents should just be happy its not drugs. They are 14, let them have their fun and enjoy their teenage years, its ONE midnight premeire
- Unknown, Londonderry
I have never seen the movies, or read the books....but you people that are complaining need to get over it....
Just because you're not into it, doesn't mean other people can't be, and it doesn't make it stupid.
- Christine, Hooksett
I think it's great that the teens are reading, never mind if it's not a classic, the point is that they ARE reading and are engaged by it. Too many kids don't find the joy in reading these days.
- Debbie, springfield, VT
You all sound like a bunch of cranky old ladies! Let the kids have some fun, there are MUCH worse things they could be doing then going to a midnight showing of a movie.
- LD, Manchester
It's a shame the youth of today waste their time on this drivel as Sam put it. How about something educational? Heck or at least well written!
- Rose, Manchester
It's a shame that such a poor film will make so much money. If they spent 1/10 as much on the writing as they did on special effects, it might be worth seeing even if you're not a shrieking teenage girl. That's Hollywood for you. They produce drivel and the rubes eat it up and ask for seconds.
- Sam, Portsmouth
Londonderry doesn't have school today, Justin. :D

Justin, it's one night that these kids went out to a midnight premier. You pass judgment like these parents are letting their kids out past midnight every night. How do you know the Dad wasn't going to make his daughter do some heavy chores over the weekend to pay for that merchandise? Maybe there was a lesson taught that in if you want something (merchandise), you work for it (chores).
Harry...going to the movies helps stimulate the economy in the entertainment sector. Just because people are lower in money these days means they can't go to the movies?
It's amazing how much people like to crap on anyone's fun if they're not having it. I don't even like Twilight and I think it's cool that these kids have such a passion for something. Better than a passion for criminal activity, heavy drugs, drinking, etc.
- Bill, Manchester
Glad to see that the parents were letting these kids go to a midnight premier on a school night. I'm sure that they will get SO much out of their classes this morning. I'm all for letting kids have fun, but not at the expense of their physical and educational well-being.
Stuff like this and making calls to daddy for money are a great lesson on why so many (not all) modern kids have a huge sense of entitlement.
- Justin, Manchester
Yep, the worst economy since the Great Depression??
Kids line up to spend parents money on a movie that will soon come to DVD?
Time for another bailout folks
