SEABROOK – New Hampshire's Seabrook Station nuclear power plant will be conducting an emergency siren test next week.

The 121 sirens in New Hampshire and Massachusetts will sound at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday Nov. 18.

The test will last three to five minutes.

The sirens are part of a warning system in the event of an emergency at the nuclear reactor. In a real emergency, the sirens would signal for people to listen to radio or television news for emergency information.
