YOUR COMMENTS

Just a comment to those basically insulting Savoy for crying - hundreds rebuked Spader, Gribble, Marks and Glover for showing "no emotion" during their arraignments. So now you're offended because Savoy is crying? Make up your mind: do you want remorse or do you want heartless stone faces?
- Ella, Mont Vernon

Just watching the news and to see this person crying made me sick. Are we to believe he cried out of remorse??? I think not! He was only crying because he got caught.
It is enough to continue to make me sick over this terrible crime.
- Phoebe, Mont Vernon

Funny. It has been reported Autumn cried at his arraignment. Tough punk cries when he realizes his life is over. One of his sites had him stating, "I'm the kind of guy who sticks by his friends, no matter what." Let's hope this moron can reflect on his admirable loyalty as the prison population "rewards" him for his actions.

Autumn Savoy is a 20 year old man. You can watch him cry during his arraignment in Milford today on the WMUR website.

I have reading a lot lately of people's comments in regards to THE CATES case. How convenient that those comments were centered on blaming society, tv, radio, blah, blah. There was a survey 3 or 4 years ago about who was influential in kids lives. The results were that parents were the most influential to kids, even teenagers. Parents have to practice what they preach, watch how they act and how they talk in front of kids, especially the formative years. It is not manly to talk about how cool it is to be violent (hunting just to kill), talking nasty about women and being disrespectful towards women, not taking laws seriously. When one of the teenager's fathers blamed it on one of the other kids, I thought what he said and how he acted was a total cop- out. GO FIGURE!

Just anotjer case of bad parenting. Watch how everyone will reject this but the fact is the parents let this kid hang around with punks. Its the parents job to keep a thumb on their kids and control who they run with until they move out of the house.

Tom, I have a feeling you don't have children or not any older than 4 yrs old.

I just wish I knew you and could laugh at you when they're around 15 yrs old.

Good luck Tom!!! you'll need it

I thought too it was the girlfriend, but it's this guy:

Mrs. Savoy, you can say all that you want that parenting is not to blame, but it is a parent's responsibility to teach their children right from wrong, teaching them how to best use their judgment, teaching them how to make good decisions in life and prepare them for adulthood and be good citizens. ... Hiding/destroying evidence is an obvious example that you failed him in doing just that.
- Sam, Mont Vernon, NH

Recent cases of self defense have resulted in charges being placed against
the person defending themselves. NH has no "Castle Law" where a person has the lawfully supported right to use deadly force in their homes or any other place. It may be a surprise to some folks that a number of businesses bar carrying concealed firearms even for license holders. Police in some major NH cities have become quite aggressive when confronting anyone carrying a firearm, concealed or in the open, licensed or not.

On the WMUR news story, he is crying like a baby. Why is he crying now! He knew better. Hopefully the justice system isn't merciful as he & his cronies weren't merciful to this poor woman & her daughter.

"Just hours after a deadly attack on a Mont Vernon woman, accused murderer Christopher Gribble updated his Facebook status: “had an awesome time with steve and autumn! dexter is such a funny show!” That update was made at 10:58 a.m. Sunday. Earlier that morning, around 4 a.m., police say Gribble and three other teens entered the home of Kimberly Cates killing her and injuring her daughter, the primary weapons being a machete and a knife. Are you sure that this person is a Mr.? I thought I remembered reading about one of those charged as having a girlfriend named Autumn?

Is Autumn a man's name?
- John R, Keene

Where are the MURDER charges for Glover and Marks?
- Sean, Amherst

"A fifth man has been charged in connection...Autumn Savoy, 20...."

Um, not sure how to break this to you, but Autumn is a woman.
- Ray, Pembroke

Autumn Savoy is a FEMALE !! - You need to check your facts.
