Crash sends bucket truck into river

WALPOLE – A man suffered a head injury this morning when a bucket truck veered off Route 12 North this morning and crashed into the Connecticut River.

The truck is completely under water, according to a Southwestern NH Mutual Aid dispatcher.

The crash involved two vehicles and happened about 6:15 a.m. at the town line with Charlestown.

Motorists should seek another route this morning since Route 12 will be closed for some time while the crash is investigated and the truck pulled out of the river, according to the dispatcher.
