The local district court in Merrimack is packed with kids having a hearing on something.A lot of these kids get a slap on the wrist and think the court system is a joke. I am not surprised that some graduate to murder.

3-5 homicides a day? Really Micki - isn't that a wee bit of an overexageration

What a violent society we have created. Just last night, this young man was killed, and in Hudson two people were stabbed at a Halloween party also. I mean, cant groups of people get together anymore without serious violence erupting?

You're overreacting Micki. There haven't been 3-5 homicides a day.

Booze and young dummies are a bad combo. Thats one reason the drinking age is 21.

Right, 3-5 per day. If it freaks you out so much, just move to Canada.

As the population of New Hampshire and the density of people in the southern half of the state grows this will become the norm.
More people brings more opportunity for crime. The best thing people can do is not be ignorant and think this is the New Hampshire of 30 years ago when these things only happened 'away'. Lock your doors, be alert and actually report a crime that you see happening.
And before anyone starts up with the 'it's because of mass' nonsense don't be foolish. We share a boarder with a major metropolitan area and have essentially become Boston's New Jersey, it's time to live with that, and part of that is increased crime.

It's happening everywhere Micki, not just NH--people are being whipped into a paranoid, angry frenzy. Best you can do is to steel yourself, prepare yourself and watch over yourself and your friends and family. Circle the wagons and don't succumb to hysteria--FEAR is being used against us and the media is a willing partner.

What is going on in this state? i mean really I cant turn on the news or look at a newspaper with out seeing 3-5 homicides a day...what happened to "taking a walk and cooling off". Is this New Hampshire or Compton.
People need to get a grip. teenagers with the home invasions and adults with the jealous rages..wtf. people have no self control or common sense any more
