Positive encouragement does not mean that 10 people have to suffer for him to change his life around. It looks good in the movies. A guy becoming a villain due to circumstances and then changing his life around. But the movies do not focus on the victims. What happens to them? What if some one interrupted the robbery and got killed.

You bet NH home owners are a bit more jumpy. I now live with two close friends.
Smith and Wesson.
- Paul, Milford

After Mont Vernon, punks like these are going to find homeowners a lot more jumpy and ready to protect their families with deadly force if necessary.

Someday one of these kids is going to break into the wrong house and I hope they have the wherewithal to turn around and walk out when ordered.
- Chuck, Chester

Barbara,

So my Friend that was a Victim of Your Son's Crimes Spree should come to see you to replace the stuff that was stole from their home?

Ridiculous...
- Tim, Derry, NH

Barbara -
Just because we don't feel these criminals should be coddled doesn’t mean we don’t “know the situation”, it just means we are not emotionally involved and making excuses.
The "positive encouragement" approach you talk about got him where he is - now lets try some discipline.

Good luck to your son, I hope he does get his act together, for all our sakes!
- Deb, Derry

People that don't know the situation should keep their comments to themselfs. Just because they read something in the newspaper doesn't mean they know the whole situation. Just because a kid makes some bad decisions doesn't mean they can't learn from them and turn their life around given the chance. And no I'm not proud of what my son has done but I still have hope that he will make better choices for himself and become a more responsible person. Kids need positive encouragment too.

"Daylor is charged with first-degree assault for allegedly shooting another man" If you shoot someone how is it not attempted murder? I guess first-degree assault with a gun just means your a bad shot.

Parents?? What parents?!?!? Were these "kids" raised by wolves? Why isn't there any mention of parents in these stories?

He is not a Teen, he is an adult

Time to take this Derry Trash to the dump before we have another Mont Vernon tragedy. No bail for any of this scum!
- Steve, Amherst

Now, Now its not the kids fault, cutting someone with a knife, and stealing come on they are just miss understood. They are just being kids. Maybe they didn't get enough hugs when they were younger. I think they will like Jail and I hope they are there got a long time.
