Ex-GOP official guilty on 2 charges

A jury yesterday convicted a former national Republican official of two telephone harassment charges for his role in a phone-jamming plot against New Hampshire Democrats on Election Day 2002.
The federal jury acquitted James Tobin of a third charge, the most serious, of conspiring against voters’ rights.

MANCHESTER - With two weeks left in a bitter Republican U.S. Senate primary campaign, Bill Binnie says it's a two-person race between former Attorney General Kelly Ayotte and him. "I think there are two candidates in this race, and I'm one of them, who can win," said Binnie in an interview yesterday.
