LACONIA – Police are asking for the public's help to find the man who assaulted and robbed a man in the parking lot of McDonald's restaurant on Union Avenue yesterday afternoon.

According to a press release, police were called to the restaurant shortly before 3 p.m. for a report of a fight.

The victim told police he was in the parking lot when he noticed three men parked in a nearby vehicle. One of the men left the vehicle and assaulted the victim, punching him in the face and knocking him to the ground.

The attacker stole money and cigarettes, then left with the other two men in a white 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier. The victim told police he knew two of the men, including his attacker.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Greater Laconia Crime Line at 524-1717.
