This lady is a joke. Testimony was she told her son to lie and now she comes on here and acts like mom of the year. What a joke this lady is.
- Jeff, Manchester

KSP was joke back then and if it's still around it's a joke now. I have to laugh at you guys trying to act like you were some kind of tough street fighters. todd has been a loser his entire life, who didn't see this coming? I'd rather pay more for this guy to be executed then less for him to be housed in prison for the rest of his life.
- Bill, Andover

Funny thing was I think the mother told the child to lie to the father
- unnamed, New Hampshire

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families. Some of the comments on here are stating this animal didn't get what he deserved which is death. This killer is still young and will spend the rest of his life in prison to me that is way worse then getting the death penalty. Not to mention it is not up to us to judge as only God can judge and trust me this animal will have an eternity of Hell. RIP
- Jessica, Manchester

Peters' son should not feel blame because his father was already a violent person. I cannot belief any parent would would call their child a liar after they know what they did. That is what the defense did during the trial, accused his son of lying. Someday the boy will know that he did what is right and that unfortunately he was born to a father who is a selfish violent person who killed.
- D. Morris, nashua

I am glad justice is done finally. The family has gone through alot. Rebecca remember your mother is always with you, remember I am here. I love you, your cousin Chantal.
- Chantal Landry, Concord NH

Hey Brian, there are no holes in this case... If Todd hadn't LIED and said he was in Concord then they probably would have had a shot at getting him off... but the facts are that he was in Manchester because his cell phone was pinged off a pole on Elm Street after he STILL insists he wasn't in Manchester that night... and there is NO possible way his cell phone hit here if he wasn't here... His loss... sorry Brian but you need to face that facts that Todd is a lier and a killer... and he had been drinking... which adds fuel to the fire... I'm so sick of people trying to lie their way out of their own sin... and then their friends standing on the sideline fighting for something they have NO CLUE about!

Scott in Manchester i have set up counsel for dominic. I just dont want him to live a life, thinking its his fault because he told his dad about what happen. I have talked with him over and over again and said its not .Told him his dad did wrong and hes going to pay for his crime He said he just dont understand why dad did this horrible thing. He said hes lost a dad and i told him as he gets older he will understand.GOD BLESS The familys of Tim and Edith My kids and i pray for all of you
- ann marie peters, manchester nh

Ann Marie, when I got divorced, my son thought it was his fault, and it wasn't. I tried for years to convince him.

It's sad that the children have to go through with the stress of self blame.

By your last name, I assume that you're related to the child, please, with all your might, seek the professional help that this child needs, he deserves it after all he's gone through. God bless him and the victims and relatives of this sad case.

The UL is just reporting what was brought out at the trial, there's no blame to be placed on the UL, the blame falls 100% on the convicted killer.
- Scott, Manchester

Edith and Timtim were great friends. They were amazing people. I'm so glad that I got to meet them, and get to know them. Their kids are great! I'm glad that Todd get to spend all him time in jail. Hes nothing. I will miss Edith and Timtim forever!!!!
- Brittany A., Manchester -Bow

Three families (and more) have been devastated by this event. My prayers are with Edith and Tim's families as well as Todd's. I knew Todd as a young boy in little league and soccer as a respectfull
k.id that came from a wonderful family. His mom and dad were very supporttive of Todd and his brothers. This is just so hard to comprehend.I hope his appeal gives us more info as to what really happened that night.

Sure hope there are lifetime memberships available in the state prision posse.
- Kate, Manchester

Ronald, you have issues if you think that a 10 year sentence with a promise to not do it again? is appropriate for taking two lives and devastating the lives of many others. Where is this coming from? His second chance in life will be in prison and that's not enough - the death sentence is in order here. Let's just pretend that everyone could get away with multiple murders and spend 10 yrs. in prison and promise they won't do it again, does this sound realistic. If it does to you, please seek help.
- Otis, Amherst

Ronald from Manchester - apparently some people are taking your comment seriously. Obviously it was not meant to be a serious remark. No one can be that foolish.
- Brian, Farmington

I think it's important to point out that the UL didn't cover this story during trial. The UL covered openings, and the verdict, and none of the testimony and evidence in between. Because the coverage has been so poor, the public is not getting a good view of what the jury actually heard in this case. The 4th estate has failed this time.

In addition, Brian from Manchester, you don't seem to have followed the scant UL coverage on this story. If you had, you might've caught this part of a previous story:

"Peters has served prison sentences for three assaults, including one with a baseball bat.

According to state Corrections Department spokesman Jeff Lyons, Peters was given concurrent two- to four-year sentences in Hillsborough County Superior Court for 1992 assaults in which he hit one person across the face with a baseball bat and another on the head with a spaghetti jar and bacon press.

He received another two- to four-year sentence for a 1996 assault in which he struck a man in the forehead with a bottle, causing a laceration requiring 32 stitches."
- Jennifer, Manchester, NH

I went to school with Edith and she was a good friend, she didn't deserve any of this. I think what Todd is getting isn't enough, he deserves more and then some. I am glad that the family got Justice. I just hope that they can have peace, now that Todd will be spending his time in jail.

Rest in peace Edith and Tim
- Danny, Loudon

Glad this guy is going to prison for life, maybe some1 will teach him a lesson in there for what edith and tim had to go through. My prayers are with the riley family and the king family through this difficult time.
- James, manchester,nh

unfortunate for both sides!! Iam sure they had more evidence than just a description of todd from a sleepy child.
i think KSP is still around.
- Deano, Manchester

As much as I don't agree with Ronald's 10 years, I am equally distressed about the "what if it was one of your family members", "eye for an eye" and "put him to sleep comments". Let's remember our legal system is based on justice, not vengeance.
- TM, Bedford

All of you who feel sorry for this man should seriously have your heads checked. You all have no idea what its like not to have one last chance to see them. For their kids to have just one last moment with them. To watch the two little ones stare at their pictures and say i love you even though they will never hear it from the ones that cared for them most. Yes, the trials over and the conclusion had made me feel relieved for about a second and then i think of how it doesn't matter. He will never feel the pain and suffering my mother in law and her husband to be had to endure even though he deserves 100 times worse. Never will this void in our hearts close and no remorse will come for the man who took them away from us.

FOREVER MISSED AND LOVED<3
Mom & Tim
- Linda, londonderry,nh

Just here to say, my heart goes out to all the families.Second, union leader has no right talking about dominic as they have been. He doesnt need to think its his fault his dad killed 2 people because he told his dad, he was hit with a rock. Enough! Hes hurt also and feels badly for all! He does understand whats going on and reads the paper hello UL
- annmarie peters, manchester nh

disgusting
- kate m, kittery me

Ronald: A promise he won't do this again? He KILLED two people with a baseball bat! This sentence isn't harsh enough. Because of this man there are children who will not have their parents for any of the milestones in their lives: birthdays, graduations, weddings, births. There are parents who will never again know the sound of their child's voice. This man is getting off easy for what he did!
- Kim, Manchester

10 years in prison is not enough for this heinous crime. I'm sure you would think differently if your friend or family member was brutally murdered. My thoughts are with the families of the victims. May Edith & Timothy rest in peace. Todd Peters, may you NEVER rest in peace.
- Karen, Harrisville

Best news I have heard in a long time. May Tim and Edith now rest in peace. My prayers are with Tim and Ediths families. Times are going to be tough for there families with the holidays here, I hope that this will begin a healing process.
- BS, MANCHESTER NH

Jeff... for starters I cannot believe you would even bring up the KSP... and I do not remember a "Jeff" in it either. But let's just say you were or associated with... will you tell me you are not/weren't violent? (BTW the KSP was mid to late 80's--early 90's was the "Bro's")

I grew up with Todd at a very young age and throughout life--kids fought back then... we all did--but not to the extent of seriously injuring someone. I seriously cannot see Todd actually killing someone... I just can't. Fighting and killing are two separate issues/actions.

There seems to be a couple of holes in the case and I will wait for the appeal to arrive and hopefully Todd gets a new defense attorney and then I will see what is what.

IF he did do this... I am not sure I could possibly get my head around all this.
- Brian, Manchester

I hope that Ronald is just trolling, because if not, I really have lost all hope for humanity.
- Sara, Manchester

Let him have his appeal and then put him to sleep...

I am tired of my tax money paying for these life sentences!
I remember my grandparents talking about public executions on the courthouse square and my parents talking about the "work gangs".
What an impression it made upon the community!

If you commited a crime, there were consequences!!!!

Oh to go back to the days of consequences....
- Scott, Manchester

Hey Ronald from Manchester - Todd Peters made a choice. The baseball bat didn't decide to kill these 2 people - Todd did.
As far as "everyone deserving a second chance at life" the murdered couple won't get one now will they?
- kate, exeter nh

Hey Ronald, I have a thought for you ,what if it was one of your family members. An eye for an eye is the way I was raised
- Adam, Newport

I think that this is a very harsh sentence given the facts. Everyone deserves a second chance in life. I am sure that he was driven by something that he couldn't control. I think that ten years in state prison would be appropriate with the promise that he will not do this again. Just a thought.
- ronald, manchester

A person like this deserves the death penalty.
So everyday, he still gets to breathe, eat ,watch TV....and mingle.
Thats a gift more then punishment. He deserves the electric chair.
- gwen king, pembroke nh

I guess Todd Peters never learned. He has been violent for a long time, dating back to when he was in the Kelly Street Posse back in the early 90's. It's a shame but he just couldn't learn.
