No one seems to have considered the possibility that the suspect's home was also the victim's home.

This woman is 30 years old and went back to his house after the first "rape". I believe in stiffer penalties for rapists but also there needs to be a very thorough investigation as to why this grown woman returned after the first time to become a victim again. She should have learned the first time and go to the police at that time - not become a victim of 2 alleged rapes in four months. If sitting as a juror, I would need more details at trial to convict this guy for 2 rapes of an adult.

so where are all of the bloggers crying foul on this story? i figured you'd all be screaming about , why wait 4 months? or why wait until the 2nd rape occurred?!
my only thought is, if you were raped once, why go back to his place a second time?
- george, hillsborough
um...why did she continue to go to his house? i dont get that.

I thought the VAWA law was going to prevent this. Guess not. Seems we need more special rights for women legislation soon. Not to mention that this went on for FOUR months without police involvement. She must have just been too scared to report it...

No secret how I feel about rapist, child mol. and drunk drivers who kill. All should be put to death. I'm having an issue why this lady, 1. didn't report the first rape, 2., why go back to the house where he lives and she was raped, 4 months earlier. I'm a firm believer no is no, and this guy (if found guilty) shpuld be put to death in one year or less. Not sure what Dave's and Donald's comments have to do with article....

I dont believe it. Cory is a saint. He would never do anything like that. He is innocent until proven guilty.

WHAT???? He raped her once then she went back 4 months later and he raped her again? Why didn't she file charges after the first time?

Dave---that's a great sentiment. Now if only there were some sort of correlation between paying higher taxes and lower crime rates.
- Rochelle, Manchester
For a small town, boy does Weare have a lot of crime. It's not just Manchester that has issues. It is also the small towns surrounding it. They are also in a budget crunch. Unfortunately, they will feel the pinch much more than Manchester will. We need to support our local police departments. I am a federal & property tax payer, so I have the right to say I have no problem paying a little more in taxes if it is going to mean having more officers on the road in keeping the crime down.
