One would think that you Republicans, after electing the biggest bonehead in history TWICE and having the country in 2 wars and falling down around us in an economic crisis, might have found a little HUMILITY since your ideas and candidates have nearly RUINED the country!
Anyone that voted for Bush twice should have a 10 year penalty and not be able to vote until you take an American civics and history course, and prove you can read an article longer that 200 words; and NO MORE AM RADIO Republcans! They're not serious on there, they're just making a living with all that divisive crap that is spewd on those shows!
Wake up Republicans, the water's great over here on the sane side of the political spectrum!
- Jay Simpson, Atkinson, NH
I think that the Democrats will get bounced out on their keysters after four years of them. Some may go in two.
This will be especially true when the uninformed find out that the person they looked to "change" without specifics, shows them how low their standard of living can get. They can watch themselves fall, as people on other continents thrive, on their former wealth!
- Steve, Raymond
To Brian in Concord...
If you don't like "blue" New Hampshire, you can move to Maine, Vermont, Mass, Conn or Rhode Island. No, wait...they are all blue states too.
Maybe you need to go south. Bye!
- John, Concord
Welcome to "Blue" Hampshire! It is unbelievable to think that these two clowns are going to be two-term representatives in the House.
Watching this state elect Jeanne Shaheen to the United States Senate and watching this state reelect CAROL SHEA PORTER (!!!) makes me wonder what people are thinking sometimes.
To paraphrase Mike in Concord- you wanted change, New Hampshire? You're going to GET change... so deal with it.
- Brian, Concord
Hodes? Lord help us! But given the present state of this state...
No despair - let Obama work his magic over the next couple years, and we won't have to worry about Hodes or any Democrat being elected to the Senate.
- Tom, Campton
Hey, didn't Judd Gregg promise to only serve two terms in the Senate when he ran the first time? Wouldn't he be running for a FOURTH term in 2010?
So much for integrity.
- Kevin, Concord
Michael, it takes 5 years to qualify for the pension. Swett and Bradley were booted after 4 years and they aren't happy about it.
- Jim, Concord
Is a Shea-Porter/Hodes showdown inevitable at this point? The two are on a collision course right now, and it will interesting to see who will blink first in this game of chicken.
- Greg Moore, Manchester, NH
I think its more likely that we will see John Lynch v. Judd Gregg. Paul doesn't have the horsepower to challenge Gregg. Lynch does.
- Mike, Bedford
Before heading to the senate, maybe Hodes sould find that backbone he lost after after his first win.
- jeff, goffstown
After the next 4 years it will be impossibgle for a Democrat to get elected to run an ice cream social, much less the senate. We got what we asked for. Now we have to live it.
- Mike, Concord
No Dem will stand a chance in 2010... after Obama wrecks the place...
Republican landslide in 2010 and to that I say Thank God!
- Marc, Weare
Hodes mistakingly believes that the US will forever have a one-party, communist-style government. By 2010, the electorate will have had it with the Hussein/Pelosi/Reid/Frank brownshirts.
(If we survive that long)
- Bill Howard, Exeter, NH
The next election is still 2 years away, as we all know and fear. If things change for the worse, Hodes and Gregg may both be out of jobs.
Let's hope that the Republican Party can recruit some real conservative candidates.
- Pete, Swanzey
I have NEVER voted for Judd Gregg. But he has really impressed me this past term. His grasp of the issues from an Independent's view is quiet perceptive.
And do the Democrats think for a second that they should be thinking about more power before they produce? The Democrats are in total power right now. All they seem to be saying is to enlarge the deficit, and debt, and the huge interest payments on that debt long into our children's respective careers. Good grief! And Hodes is spending time on his personal political career instead of working on the problems?
Hodes better wait long after the first 100 days before making a decision. He better wait until they have made huge headway on the deficit, and the economy, and rebuilding our image and standing around the world. And it better be huge. It's all just talk from politicians right now. Talk. Talk. Talk.
For the first time in Judd Gregg's long career this Independent is really going to be giving Judd Gregg a real look, and especially when compared to candidates who are wasting their time on their political careers instead of doing their job!
Hodes and Porter - and I voted for her - better get to work before looking for a promotion!
If the country isn't working they'll be no promotions for any Democrats.
- Bob Jean, Northwood, NH
I agree Richard. Gregg is a RINO, open-borders joke. And he's as dumb as a bag of rocks. But what luck he has. This will be an easy win for him. And it gives the Republicans a good shot at that house seat.
- Jay Collins, Laconia
Uh you have got to be kidding me. Hodes is just Nancy Pelosi's puppy dog in Congress and would be the same for Harry Reid in the Senate.
- Casey Johnes, Manchvegas
I believe you have to be in congress *five* years before you get a pension so if Paul Hodes loses in 2010 he will forefeit that pension as he will only have served four years. Why so you think Jeb Bradley was so eager to get his job back? Carol Shea-Porter cost him his pension!
- Richard, Manchester
ha ha ha....seriously, Paul Hodes? I'm sorry that just made me laugh out loud.
- Bud, Manchester
As much as I want to see Judas Gregg kicked out it will take more than Paul Hodes to do it, Two terms in Congress will not be enough to remove this empty suit from his seat. Not even that blow hard ambulance chaser Cathy Sullivan could stand a chance. Gregg has the magic of a name something that he has traded on in all his elections and basically that's all he has going for him, if they stopped printing 3X5 index card he would not be able to follow instructions to find his way from bed to a bathroom. Never in the history of this state that I can remember has there been such a phony as he is and in that department the only other individual that can come close is the bloviating miasma spreading Cathy Sullivan who could keep a hot air balloon in the air for at least 3 years. Hodes does not stand a chance, he will be giving up a sure seat for classic clobbering by a cardboard cut out.
- Richard L. Fortin, Manchester
What does Paul have to lose if he loses he gets a pension and health care for life. We voters should be so lucky but once again we are stupid we let this happen, shame on us.
