Holy smokes, they actually have someone at the Pittsburg station? I guess this test that theory of getting in from there is a lot harder that before.

Go to Vermont. There is a border crossing on Interstate 91 just south of White River Junction. You can take route 5 if you want to race your BMW. Glad to see that the Mr. Danti was of legal age.
- Andy, Wentworth

There is always one poster looking to hate on the police for doing their job. They ignore the fact that the police have gotten one more selfish drunk driver off of the roads.
- Gary, Berlin

Ken,
I'm sure if the non US citizens drove drunk through the border without stopping, we would chase them the same way. Apparently, non US citizens are a little smarter about how to illegally cross a border.
- John, Auburn

Jay just feels any action by law enforcement is harrasment. It is probably due he has had many encounters with law enfocement. he thinks laws are for everybody but him.
- Rob, Milford

That's why you don't mess with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. They will make you pay. Just stop and answer the questions and you will be fine. Sounds like this guy found out the hard way to not mess with the Pittsburg port of entry! (Go BFJ!!!!!) : )

This is a citizen breaking the law(s). This has nothing to do with border patrol or illegal aliens. Plain and simple-- it's a DWI with an attitude. Congrats to our fine NH Troopers who put their lives on the line every day to protect the rest of us from these irresponsible drunks who think driving under the influence is some kind of "right." He's lucky he didn't kill some innocent law-abiding citizen.
- skippy, Littleton

Jay, Manchester - I don't think that this is a matter of anyone being "harrassed" but more of an issue with an intoxicated person not stopping at the border checkpoint. Does not matter where he is from, but if he tried that in many countries, I bet he would not be around to tell his story.
- Frank, Franklin

I would hardly say "harassed". How would the border patrol know if he were a lawful citizen if he ran the crossing without stopping? Not that it matters ... it is absolutely their duty to pursue anyone that runs the border.
- Ben, Concord, NH

Oh yes JAY, I am sure it is harrassment when someone refuses to stop at a Border Crossing??? He was in Canada and ran into the US without stopping, he shoudl be glad they didnt open fire on him, as they should have...
- Rick Greene, Lee NH

Wait, was this an illegal or a lawful citizen being harassed by border patrol WITHIN the US?
- Jay, Manchester

The guy is lucky he's not dead. I've driven that stretch of roads for many, many years. It's loaded with twists, turns and many moose. Kudos to the police department and all there efforts up there in the Geat North Woods.
- Dana, Manchester

Now if we'd only chase down the non US citizens as aggressively.
- Ken, Nashua
