NASHUA – Nashua police say they have seized more than 300,000 prescription pills from a city residence.
Police say 32-year-old Tam Mitchell has been charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to sell and falsifying physical evidence.
The investigation started when police were called 9 Burritt St. for the report of a man having a heart attack.
When police arrived, they found a dead man and say it appeared that evidence had been taken from the scene.
Authorities later searched the property and found 322,000 pills, which they determined had been stolen during burglary of a pharmaceutical warehouse in Mansfield, Mass., three years ago.
Police say the investigation continues and more arrests could be made.

It was a bunch of stuff like xanex and klonopin which surprisingly isn't that serious. A vast amount of americans take it every day for stress. They are easy to abuse, but nowhere near as harmful as Oxycontin which is all over nashua, and america for that matter
Nice try on that..Xanax is horrifically addictive to begin with, even if you are to be prescribed it. It takes little time to build up a tolerance, and much more time to ween off of it. Most benzos are like this, and they have to be prescribed correctly. Not prescribing properly, or giving to a person who does not monitor what they take can lead to an interaction. Especially with someone who drinks heavily.

The pills were being sold as a street drug at $1 to $2 a pill and it is a controlled substance. It is addictive and a very popular drug because people are snorting it as well as taking 6 or 7 at a time. It's not the severity of the drug as opposed to oxycodone, it's the fact that a drug is being sold that's illegal.

Hopefully people will smarten up and simply become more aware of what is going on in their hometowns, and take a realistic approach to it.

For all we know in this lame report it's antibiotics. Says nothing about drugs of abuse. So stop falling over yourselves.

Great work Nashua PD. You could have maybe easily just handled the medical call & have been done with it, but your officers didn't do that. They went the extra mile. Great job!

Great job, NPD. They do real police work, not PR like the MPD's Chief Mirror.

Many thanks to the men and women of the Nashua PD for taking those drugs off of our streets! Amazing that all that came out of a 911 medical call.
