Sugar Hill Speedway, a kart course, is expanding its track by 3,000 feet and making significant upgrades to its fencing and major safety barriers. The upgrades will lengthen the winding course to four-tenths of a mile for next racing season, said owner Mark Piekarski.

Maybe you should do that some reasearch before purchase property down the street from a race track.
You have know one but yourself too blame. Another person from the city, moving to the country trying to change something that's been there long before them!

SugarhillResident,
If you don't like it move. That track has been there for over 30 years and they use to race mini-sprint cars there. You want noise? Try 20 motorcycle engines with no mufflers racing at once.
Honestly I am sick of ignorant people moving here from Mass, CT, NY and not realizing they need to accept what we have had for DECADES.
We put up with your peoples' rude socialist agendas that have cranked up our tax base in the last 15 years so deal with the pleasant routine noises that tell us that we are still moving along in life and enjoying it along the way.

@S. Sugar Hill Rd. Resident - Yeah, as if the Sugar Hill modifieds they run every weekend were quiet.

I'm not sure what made you believe a race track could not become louder than you were hoping it would be.

Try to look on the bright side - if those two stroke cars are loud enough, it will drown out the PA noise!

Great.... I was hoping they were closing for good. What a noise polluter. Even with the normal go carts, their PA system travels all over town. Time for an ordinance!

And before all you guys start harping on the fact that we moved next to a track (more than a 3/4 mile away), it was supposed to be just a go cart track. Not a NASCAR like track with NASCAR like noise.
