My heart goes out to Officer Kelly and Mica. I just lost my 7 year old Shetland Sheepdog, Jasmine, to Lymphoma cancer a month ago (November 13th). I, unfortunately, couldn't afford the thousands that it costs for the chemotherapy treatment. Jasmine was diagnosed on May 13th, and the vets gave her 4-6 weeks. I changed her diet, kept her active, and the vet put her on prednisone. She gave me six months of quality life before we had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go. One thing I would like to suggest to Officer Kelly is to visit www.dogcancer.net. I also put Jasmine on K-9 Immunity pills, which I think was the reason she did so well for much longer than the doctors expected.
I wish you the best of luck with Mica's treatment, her story hits very close to my heart. My prayers are with you both.

A donation from Nebraska to help a wonderful animal was the least I could do for her. I know she in great hands with Dr. Dutton. Mica, from across the country know that we love you very much, and we wish only the best for you sweetie. Speedy Recovery and Happy Holidays to your family and all your fellow officers. To Dr Dutton if you see this, Thank you for being such a loving gentle man and caring for this wonderful officer of the law. Happy Holidays to you, your staff and all your families.

And the local food pantry is begging for donations and food for the empty shelves.... only in America.

Oh, I have a soft spot for beautiful dogs like this and am so happy that she is getting the help she needs. It is so wonderful to read such a heartwarming story and see that there are still several people out there who are kind, caring, and compassionate. I wish Mica and her partner all the best and a speedy recovery. You are both so cute together and I can tell that the officer has a special bond with her.
