NASHUA - A Good Samaritan who tried to stop a man threatening his wife with a baseball bat suffered an arm injury when the husband turned the bat on him, police said.

BERLIN - Updated, 4:30 p.m. An inmate at the New Hampshire State Prison was beaten severely yesterday morning and was airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
