GREENFIELD, Massachusetts — The Northwestern District Attorney's Office says it will announce a "major breakthrough" in a grisly, three-decade-old unsolved homicide case at a press conference Thursday morning.

In 1989, a woman's dismembered body was located in Warwick by a passerby on the side of Route 78 near the entrance of Mount Grace State Forest, the Greenfield Recorder reported. It was estimated that the woman's body had been at the scene between two weeks and three months.
