Alice Laura Merrill Chester of Delaplane, Va., and Joshua Alan Gregg of Rye Beach were married June 25 by the Rev. Jennifer Miller at the bride's family summer home on Oconomowoc Lake in Wisconsin.
The bride is the daughter of George M. Chester, Jr. and Laura D. Chester of Delaplane. Her father is a retired partner of Covington & Burling, a Washington, D.C.-based law firm. He serves on the Board of Overseers of The American Revolution Institute of The Society of the Cincinnati. Her mother is an interior designer.
The groom is the son of Sen. Judd Alan Gregg and Kathleen MacLellan Gregg of Rye Beach. His father is a former U.S. congressman, governor and U.S. senator from New Hampshire. His grandfather is the late Gov. Hugh Gregg, who served as governor from 1953 to 1955.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and mother.
The matron of honor was Daphne Chester. The best man was Johannes C. Reuter. The ring bearer was James McEvoy Reuter.
A reception was held at the summer home.
The bride graduated from The Taft School and from Princeton University, cum laude. She is the Legacy Giving Director with Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation.
The bridegroom graduated from The Potomac School and from Dartmouth College. He is the Chief Financial Officer with Double Eagle Energy Holdings.
